[Special Cover Edition for "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club"] "Quick Japan" Vol. 174

Four popular voice actors from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club
to grace the cover of QJ’s first-ever special edition!

『Quick Japan』vol.174 features a special on the film Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter Part 1. For the first time in Quick Japan’s 30-year history, we’re producing a special cover edition!

Appearing in the issue are four popular voice actors who play members of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club in the film: Aguri Onishi (Ayumu Uehara), Akari Kito (Kanata Konoe), Koko Hayashi (Setsuna Yuki), and Chiemi Tanaka (Rina Tennoji).

The feature includes a roundtable discussion about the musical appeal of “Nijigasaki,” as well as conversations between Aguri Onishi and Koko Hayashi, and Akari Kito and Chiemi Tanaka, who discuss what to look forward to in Final Chapter Part 1, among other topics—two pair interviews—alongside newly shot photos.

The contents are the same as the regular edition, but this version comes with a special cover featuring newly shot visuals of the four voice actors.

【Feature 1: ROF-MAO】

A deep dive into ROF-MAO, the four-member unit from Nijisanji at the forefront of VTuber culture.

The cover features an original photo shoot commemorating the group’s third anniversary! For the opening feature, producer Nobuyuki Sakuma joins the members for a roundtable discussion on the theme “How can VTubers become household names?” The issue also includes a long-form roundtable interview in which all four members look back on their three years of activities and talk about the future they hope to build as VTubers.

There’s plenty more, including a roundtable with the producer, content director, music producer, and other staff who work behind the scenes at ROF-MAO, plus an archive feature in which the QJ editorial team takes an in-depth look at every video from ROF-MAO’s YouTube series “Thu 10! ROF-MAO Juku.” This definitive ROF-MAO feature is a one-stop guide to VTuber culture—even for those just discovering it.
