■Synopsis

He debuted as a manga artist in 2013. He himself served in the military police, and has created many works that focus on military service in order to convey the reality of the South Korean military. His most famous work is "DP DOG'S DAY" (original title: DP 개의 날). He also wrote the screenplay for the Netflix drama "DP: Deserter Tracker."

In 2021, he won the Grand Prize at the 5th Korean Book Translation Contest to Read in Japanese for Hwang Mo-ga's "Moment Arcade" (published by Quon). His translations of Korean science fiction include Hwang Mo-ga's "Born in Time" and Park Hae-eul's "A Species That Left This Planet" (both published by Inch magazine), as well as the online series "Japan-Korea Science Fiction Exchange Diary" (Kaguya Planet), which features 12 Japanese and 12 Korean science fiction writers. In 2024, he translated the critical essay "Seven Gazes on 'Parasite: A Semi-Underground Family'" (published by Quon).
