The debut essay collection by Takafumi Sasaki, the joke writer and Tsukkomi (straight man) for the comedy duo Evers, titled "Koko de Ikkyuu Change-up" (One Change-up Here), will be released on Tuesday, July 14, 2026!

His life was dedicated to baseball since childhood. He entered a prestigious high school on a sports scholarship, aiming for Koshien, but his dream fell just short. Losing his goal, he lived a self-indulgent life immersed in games, until a new dream, "comedy," rescued him.

Even when results were slow to come, he walked through his ninth year as a comedian believing "I am the funniest." Finally, he became an M-1 finalist—.

This is an autobiographical essay that gently encourages anyone who wants to pursue something again, recounting his youth dedicated to baseball, the frustration of not reaching his dream, the time he lost his goal, and his days of rising again as a comedian.

This book also includes manuscripts from a web serialization where he chronicled his feelings in real-time from September 2024, before his first M-1 Grand Prix final appearance.

Born in 1992 in Tome City, Miyagi Prefecture. Debuted in 2016 as the Boke (funny man) of the comedy duo Evers. A finalist in the M-1 Grand Prix.
