■Contents
The "Fear Exhibition," which attracted over 130,000 visitors and generated significant buzz, is now available as a book. This volume delves into "fear" in a way that only a book can.
It fully documents the numerous exhibits created by a stellar lineup of creators—Nashimoto, who produced "The Disappearance Exhibition," 株式会社闇 (K.K. Yami), and Tokio Omori—all themed around "fear."
In addition to the content displayed at the exhibition, the book includes one original exhibit.
It also features a newly written column by Akutagawa Prize-winning author, Risa Wataya.
"Seeking this invisible mist, I continue to pursue fear. For now, I suppose I'll read a book next to an air purifier."
(From Risa Wataya's newly written column)
The column written by Da Vinci Kyoyama (Yu Shinada) that was included in the exhibition pamphlet is also re-recorded.
It visualizes the "fear" that resides in everyone's heart, escalating it further. You will confront your own "fear."
■Specifications
Separate visual inserts for "experiencing" three types of fear
The special edition already exudes an unusual presence from its exterior. The cover features a special design using aluminum-deposited paper with embossing.

The three edges of the book are painted silver in a "three-sided silver" finish, giving it a cold, dull gleam.

Furthermore, it includes separate visual inserts that visualize three types of fear that appeal to human physiology and instinct. Utilizing printing and processing technology, visual discomfort and aversion are reproduced three-dimensionally.
▶︎Fear of microorganisms
An "object of hands with proliferating germs" was photographed with transmitted light and printed in life-size on tracing paper. This evokes the feeling of touching something that shouldn't be touched.

▶︎Fear of clusters
UV clear thick printing expresses visual discomfort three-dimensionally. Not just seen, but the texture stimulates the senses.

▶︎Fear of spiders
A visual change experience through lenticular printing. The image changing with the angle amplifies anxiety.

Challenging the book format
A book is inherently a medium where expectation for story and knowledge grows with each turned page. However, this book evokes not expectation, but a physical reaction: "fear." This book is both a record for confining the "fear" presented in the exhibition to a book format and a re-occurrence device.
This unique volume was made possible by the collaboration with the experimental "Fear Exhibition," adopting multiple special processing techniques that are typically costly or logistically challenging for standard publications. It stands as an unparalleled product that allows one to experience "fear" through a book.
This book is a completely limited production, with no plans for additional runs. Sales will end once the current production quantity is sold out.
